What do I
need to do?

Click on the moons on the right to read more about what action you need to take and when to take it.

Here’s what you should be doing now

  1. You will need to register yourself (and family, if any) at the Belgian commune upon arrival. You will also receive via the commune your national number.
  2. As a Belgian tax resident, you should report foreign real estate. Refer back to the Foreign Real estate reporting section to recap on the actions required.
  3. As a Belgian tax resident, you need to report foreign bank accounts to the central point of contact of the Belgian national bank. Refer back to the Foreign Bank account reporting section to recap on the actions required.
  4. Log into the GA Portal (website or app) and navigate to your Documents to retrieve the proxy.

Download the proxy and complete, date and sign the proxy (also your spouse, if you are married/legally cohabitant) available in your Documents in the GA portal. This proxy will enable us to act as your agent and deal with the Belgian tax authorities on your behalf.

Return a scanned version of the proxy to Deloitte via upload in your Documents in the GA Portal.

Note, the naming convention of the uploaded version should be different from the draft template.
